why i love blueberries

ever since i was little, i've loved everything blueberry related. my fav breakfast place in LA is this little cafe called blueberries. they have blueberry muffins, blueberry iced tea, blueberry lemonade, and of course blueberry pancakes.

today as i was watching a baby channel with my mom, she told me the story of her pregnancy with me. (or rather, she was retelling it since i've heard it a few times, but i never tire from hearing about it) she had many appetite urges when she was pregnant with me. one of the recurring urges was her craving for blueberry pancakes from IHOP! so you see, i've liked blueberries since i was in the womb. hahaha...

my mom had all three of us born naturally, as in no epidural. as i was watching this baby channel with my mom, there were scenes of women giving birth. i have no idea how my mom could go through that! no meds! but i suppose it makes things more exciting. i mean, you're REALLY happy when it's over. haha. i think i want to have my first child natural...but we'll see if i stick with it once i start feeling all the pain. not that i plan on having kids anytime soon anyways. so don't start freaking out!

here are just a few pics from graduations!

so i just flew in on sunday. life has been busy cleaning out all the junk that has collected in my room. making room for the new junk i collected in pitts. i'm STILL unpacking. ugh... i had some great momentum earlier when i was able to clear out three suitcases and throw away three huge bags of junk as well has three huge bags of old clothes to donate. now i'm just in a bit of a slump and can't get motivated to clean/unpack again.

graduation was a trip...just came and went. since i've been home, i had lunch with sandily. we went to korean food and then went back to her house to play with ethan all day after we picked him up from daycare at 3:30. she's such a lucky mom. she gets to work from home all the time, is able to pick ethan up from daycare at 3:30 two days out of the week and play with him the whole rest of the day, and even has her mom take him two days out of the week so she gets a little vacation. man, i don't think i could ever dream of being able to spend so much time with my future kids. of course, ethan is so cute it probably makes it really hard to stay away. everytime he does anything he's proud of (which is everything) he smiles a huge dimpled grin and happily claps his hands. sooooo cute! he's also talking (mostly baby babble but some words) a lot now at just a little over a year and a half years old! can you tell i'm a proud auntie??

yesterday i had lunch with some potential business partners, walked around sanatana row with my mom and then had dinner with the fam and my dad's old school friends. i'm going to be helping with some business dev in asia for a medical equipment company he's starting up. the later dinner meeting was with an old classmate of his who wants to bring a popular chain of japanese style restaurants into north america. talk about such a difference of meetings.

the lunch meeting was with some supposedly very educated people (md/phd) and the dinner meeting was with someone who never really liked school much. (he said the one day he decided to study for an exam, it was for the wrong subject and so he decided not to study again!) the md/phd was not very good in my opinion. he seemed complacent, lacked drive to start something new, and just seemed lazy in general. I found it odd that he let me bully him around, he supposedly is a senior financial analyst now, but when i ask him something as simple as what was his net income for his prior business, he hesitates. he seemed like he spent more energy convincing me he has the qualifications. but that's not what i'm interested in. qualifications are great, but if you can't back it up with actions, it doesn't mean much. if it were soley my decision, i wouldn't do business with him. as for the other person, restaurant guy, he was an excellent business person. dynamic, communicated extremely well, put his audience at ease. when you ask him any detail on any of his restaurants (percent profit, waste, etc) he had an immediate answer. his restaurants pull in about 2 mil a year in profits. nice!

hunny's bday is today! he's 30 =O! i've been busy planning a huge party for him and his friends. so far 20 people are for dinner and over 100 people for night time festivities. crazy! people are even coming from sacremento??!! i'm so proud of my hunny. he has accomplished so much in the recent years. happy birthday hunny!

I'm graduating tomorrow! it's so surreal. I've picked up my cap and gown. Picked up the check that i earned for being the TA for biotechnology strategy. It's enough to buy myself another camera! yay!

I'm still packing and selling things. SUCH a pain in the butt to pack! hunny and my parents are all bring extra empty luggage to help me bring back stuff so i don't have to ship anything. hehehe.

see you all back in the bay area!!
