soooooo muuuuucch wooooooorrrrk!

finals time. million papers, presentations, and midterms for the bio classes. the one for polymeric biomaterials is going to be insanely hard. nobody told me i had to know thermodynamics!! yuck! and we have to finish the business plan for the bplan competition. deadline to hand it in is march 8 - when all my other papers are due too. the profs are getting on our case because they won't let us get anything less than be in the final round. such high expectations =P AND the competition is during spring break so that means i can't go home. i miss home SO much. my mom im's hearts and kisses to me. and i love it, but it makes me miss home even more!!

AND rita is leaving me. i'm SOOOOOOOO GOING TO MISS HER!!! she's graduating early because her bf hates pittsburgh and so she's taking off for cali on friday. after that she's heading off to travel the world for 2 months!! i'm really going to miss her. all the other girls in this program are lame. stupid girls who seem like they came to bschool just to find a boyfriend or a husband. SO LAME!!!!!! there is this one girl who just goes around asking people how to be sexy. so she buys some dark colored jeans on someone's suggestion. then goes around asking everyone if they think her jeans are sexy. who does that??!!!!

there is a trip in may to shanghai to visit companies..i really want to check that out!

ack...only three more months. three more months. that's both so close....and so far from now.

the soundtrack for Garden State

i really love this movie. i've seen it three times already. great plot, you feel a range of emotions, the camera angles and the thought that went into every aspect of the movie (everything from the wardrobe to the soundtrack).

ug...tired. i was doing work most of the weekend but just didn't get that much accomplished. hate it when that happens. =P

should i stay or should i go

i finished class at 4, i have another meeting at 5, i only slept 3 hours. should i go home and sleep for about 45 min? or should i stay on campus and do email? i only have this one hour. after that i'm busy until 9PM.

i chose to stay and blog. haha.

and email....way behind on that. blah.

i'm SO gonna crash when i get home.

a bunch of us went to go to shadyside to see if anyone was celebrating in the streets. there was a whole crowd of people hanging out and hugging eachother. it was pretty tame - nothing compared to the LA riots i saw when UCLA students stormed into westwood when they won the NCAAP. however i heard that in other areas of pittsburgh were much rowdier than we were. overturned cars and fires and such.

other happenings--

went snowboarding for cmu day and taught yanni, ara and jeff how to snowboard. jeff already kinda knew how but ara and yanni were first timers. i'm proud to say after a day of my instruction, they were both carving by the end of the day. :)

vc panel - i planned a panel with 6 distinguished panelists for the VC club. it was a hit! i was lucky enough that all the major VC's i wanted rearranged their schedules for me in order to attend the panel. one even blew off a dinner put together by his alma mateur! :D the room was perfect, not too big and not too little. all the seats were full, the food was good, the conversation great, people stayed for about 45 min after the panel to network, students came from all different departments on campus. i couldn't have asked for a better event. just prior, i was still tying up loose ends starting from 3:00 until 5:00. but it all came together nicely. i even got numerous comments from students on how much they appreciated the quality of the event! yay! i'm so proud of me. my mentor is back from qatar and this was the first time i've seen him since he came back. needless to say he had a huge smile on his face and was extremely pleased.

nadsybo got engaged! congrats! i saw a pic of the engagement party. they both look so happy. :) you know how sometimes you can say a couple looks good together? when i say that, i generally mean that they look happy and they complement eachother. in looks and in personality. they "fit". nadysbo and his new fiance definitely "fit" :)

Go Steelers!

The Pittsburgh Steelers are playing in the superbowl on sunday. now i'm not a football fan at all. i don't understand watching big guys smash against eachother. but it's kinda kool that they are going to the superbowl. everyone here is already crazy about football and now they are all going nuts!! maybe i should actually buy something with the Steelers logo on it.

freshman year UCLA won the ncaap - basketball. now pittsburgh is going to the superbowl. i hope they win! that would be cool to have been with two winning teams during school.

health update - i'm allergic to pittsburgh apparently. i think the mold content in the air is higher here. so i'm taking corticosteroids and it's having an instant positive effect. no use of the albuterol at all today! yay! i think i'll just stay on the corticosteroids until i leave.

also - i just washed my down jacket in the washer and now it's drying in my room. it smells funny. phew!!!
