three decades
i'm officially three decades old as of this sunday. how does it feel? no different really. i was a little sad at first to say goodbye to the twenties. many things have happened last decade which have shaped me into the person i am today. however the thirties still hold a lot of promise. many more new experiences to come.
so what has been going on since last week? let's see....
sandy had baby Erin! 8lbs 6 ounces. no meds. she was so brave! i saw everything in the delivery room. it was SO AMAZING! i feel so lucky that she wanted to share that special moment with me. it was not gross or scary like everyone always says deliveries are. it was just...amazing! sure there was blood and stuff, but a little life was coming into the world! imagine what it was like for all of us, breathing for the first time, looking into a loving face for the first time... congrats sandy on your beautiful baby girl! again...the cutest baby...two huge dimples!

also had multiple bday dinners. all delicious of course! cathy, aymerik and elaine took me to my fav place in the city, the house. had the sea bass (sorry jyan!) again - who could resist! they also now have the chocolate cake special on the menu. yum! then diana organized a wonderful dinner at Osteria. it was perfect! the crowd was somewhat small, the table was cozy, the food and wine were delicious. perfect for a rainy day spent with good friends.

then saturday was a sushi dinner at my fav sushi place in hayward. Ray's sushi. i wish i took more pics, i forgot to get out my camera! it was mostly hunny's HS friends and their sig others. it worked out perfectly since there were so many people. the rolls there are very large and with so many people, each person could try one piece of every kind of roll. we also ordered the huge hamachi kama again.yum!
then was the party at ROE on saturday nite. Stacy organized a huge gathering and about 112 people showed up! sylvie came out, i haven't seen her in years! i've known her since 4th grade. elaine, john, jon, lisa, marlyanne, sanford, albert, dave, diana, and many many others all came out to celebrate. the place was crowded but we didn't care. dancing all nite long! :) i was luckily able to keep the drinking at a manageable rate and was only nicely buzzed most of the evening. when i woke up the following morning, no hangover, only wonderful memories as i looked through all the pictures.
sunday hunny took my family out for another bday dinner at dynasty. we had the smoked sea bass (sorry again jyan!) beef filet, lobster rice, mmmm....
thanks everyone for making this such a great bday~! what a great transition into my thirties.
OH also, work has officially offered me a fulltime position. (i was contracting before) i will make the switch in january.

a HUNDRED and TWELVE people turnout?! Boy, you DO have a huge following!
haha...well it's not like i really know everyone directly. also there were a lot of stacy's friends. you know how it is, friends invite other friends and before you know it, it's 100 people!
sure....right...
that's never happened to me.
