it's not what you say, it's what you do
i got this piece of advice (among many) from the last lecture - google last lecture and cmu, you will find it.
he heard this advice from an admin at cmu. basically she had guys all figured out. ignore everything they say and only pay attention to what they do.
i completely agree. effort counts.

If I could've followed that advice right off the bat in '03, I would've saved myself 2.5 years of the worst grief I'd ever experienced to date.
yeah this advice comes a little late for us huh? haha. but funny thing is, if someone told me this when i was 18 and hadn't dated anyone yet, i'm not sure if i still would have listened to it.
