time to get a new phone
my 2 year contract has expired on at&t and it's time for a new gadget!
iphone, samsung blackjack, bb curve, or keep things status quo and just get a regular phone as i wait for either the next gen iphone or the google phone.
i've been waiting for the next gen iphone for what seems like an eternity. however, once it's out, i think it'll be too expensive and my chinese cheap genes will prevail. so that's out for now.
but will that mean the regular iphone will reduce in price? hrmmmm
i love the look and feel of the iphone. but in all actuality, i don't text or surf the web on the phone as much as i talk. and with all that talking, i drop my phone a lot. i would be miserable if i dropped the iphone and it broke.
the samsung blackjack is available on amazon for -$50. that means after purchasing the phone, i will have an extra 50 dollars in my pocket! chinese cheap genes rejoice! however...not so fast. with the smart phone also has to come a data plan. that means spending extra money each month which i don't want to spend. however with the amount i've been talking, it will probably end up being the same. blah.
bb curve is also available on amazon for -$25. not as good as the blackjack in terms of deal but still a good deal nonetheless. however again, still need to get the data plan.
status quo - free phone, better plan, spend no extra money. but...no upgrade other than a new phone. geek genes pout.

Get an iPhone it is the best thing ever, seriously. I never thought I needed to web browse or sms, now I do both a lot. It really useful. But I would wait until the 2nd gen comes out in 2 more months.
well i'm not sure 2nd gen will def be out in 2 months. that's the thing...they keep delaying the date. also it will be at least 500 bux i'm sure. that's mucho money for a phone i will probably end up dropping.
The iphone will come in handy when you're driving somewhere and need to mapquest something, or need to see if any Thai is in the area, or whether a particular restaurant you're going to is even open on Sunday.
How's this for the Chinese cheap gene? Make business calls on it and it's a write-off.
well there are other more expensive items i would like to write off. we still have a lot more to go to earn back our investment.
anyways, in a strange way i actually enjoy obsessing over gadgets by reading all the reviews and going over all the deals. it makes me feel really good when i get the best deal i can possibly find. ocd at it's best. =D
